Does anyone here like any of the older bands? Which ones do you like?

Myself, one of my favorites is Ransom. It's hard to find lots on them, but here is a video. http://youtube.com/watch?v=2qdeFYFed1o

I found their CDs on Ebay a while back, so I listen to them sometimes. I wish they had done more! They were great! :)

Some other I like... and I will include some links to videos and music samples...

I confess that I'm not really that big on the hair metal bands, but it's always cool to see Christian bands that reach beyond the Praise & Worship clichés :)

If I may recommend some further listening, check out Neal Morse, AD, and some of Phil Keaggy's Glass Harp-era stuff.

They're recent, but they sound like they should be classic.

By the way, I'm friends with Micheal Sweet's (lead singer of Stryper) daughter.
It's cool living in the same 10 mile radius as him.

That's some good stuff there too. It's hard, but every now and then I find a good deal on some older music, and I buy what I can of it. I just feel in the mood sometimes to listen to stuff like this, it never gets too old to me.

TeeLay - That is pretty neat about being friends with his daughter... I have been praying for his family since I read about his wife getting cancer, and I heard she is healthy now and healed. Pretty awesome. :)

Blessed By a Broken Heart is great, I heard them a while back and thought they were from way back and just had a myspace or something at the time, until I read more about them. I love the mic skillz songs, they are pretty funny and 2 is great musically.
