Who's going?

I am. If enough CAA members go, maybe we could meet, because meeting CAA members is cool.

Man, Mr. Jin, I am too excited myself. I got excited and went to the bathroom and then I had to clean it up. That wasn't good. We're going to have the best time ever. It's going to absolutely freeking rock.

Back from the fest!!!
Wow. Wow wow wow... Just when I was thinking "oh, THAT band's not going to be here, or THIS band should have come..." I am still blown away by how good of a time I had with who we got to see!
Favorite shows (ranked in order of wow-factor)
#1. Sleeping at Last (played 2 new songs, and most of my favorites. Incredible show from start to finish.)
#2. Mute Math (I knew they were going to be good, but MAN... The drummer plays so hard and so fast, he has to literally duct tape his earphones to his head while he plays... and Paul? I have no idea how he makes those sounds with the Rhodes, but he does it so well I almost weep. Anyone know what tha custom thingy he plays is?)
#3. Copeland (They have learned to rock, somehow, and I am never more pleased about that)
#4. Roper (Reese and the boys always put on a great show)
#5. Showbread (Such energy, such whizz-bang enthusiasm, such screaming!)
#6. mewithoutyou (I never gave these guys much of a chance before, but now that I've seen them live, I can totally dig it...)
#7. Psalters (acoustic chanting worship with really obnoxiously huge drums, and accordians and violins, and such. Weird, perhaps, but the heart for God comes through... oh, and it sounds amazing)
#8. The Awkward Romance (local boys doing so well!)
#9. Relient K (seen them so many times live, but still don't fail to impress)
#10. Anberlin (see above comments... oh, and they had Ivory from Showbread come and scream on one song)

I'm sorry, glitch...
Holland is dead. Their new incarnation, The Lonely Hearts, while good, is a completely different band. Different sound, slightly different lineup, and definately a different feel. They are now more a country-flavored rock. I picked up their EP at the show, which is good stuff, but it's definately not Holland anymore.
Sorry. Weep with me in mourning.
Shine like Stars forever, baby!

mewithoutYou was so wonderful I think I died for a few minutes during their set. It was fantastic.

Let's see...Sleeping At Last was brilliant, Roper was even better than the CD (those guys have gotten tight since the last time we saw them), ZAO impressed the heck out of me, Showbread was amazing as always (4th time seeing them, hooray!), The Awkward Romance was totally killer (their EP is great and they're such nice guys), The Showdown was one of the most fun shows there ("This is a song about the most heavy metal moment in the Bible where Samson kills a whole crap-ton of people."). Starflyer 59 was really good, I just love their music and Frank Lenz is a great drummer. Um. Brandtson did a cover of Cry Me A River by Justin Timberlake that was really good. Uh. Cornerstone Florida was amazing. I'll post pictures later. *o*

Heck yes. My ugly mug is all over those pics. Awesome pics, they are. Everyone should go check them out. Mr. Jin and Mr. Jin's Girl took some great shots. Go. View them. Wayne Brady commands you to.
