Possible Neil Young Lyrics?

Postby Zarn Ishtare » Fri Apr 20, 2007 4:55 pm

So, there's this song playing on the local radio station, and I THINK it's by Neil, but I have no way of finding out.

All the lyrics I remember: "Hey, hey, my motto...What is dead can never die"

Thanks for any help you can give me!
With your doubt, all is comfort
We are all as we appear
No more questions left unanswered
No more wonder, no more fear
Nothing is beauty, nothing's feeling
Blood where there once was a soul
So I ask you, prove yourself
Make me believe that you are whole

Thanks, I needed a snide remark to complete my evening.

Edit: You can only use your sig to justify snideness for so long...

Oooh, I totally think I know that one. Neil tends to be played half to death on the local stations, unfortunately I can't remember the title off the bat. I'm not sure those are exact lyrics though, I don't recall the word 'motto' being in the song. Then again, I am the master of completely misinterpreting lyrics >_>

Sounds more like a reference to Neil, unless you just misheard. It's CLOSE to "Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black)", but that song is "Hey Hey, My My; Rock and Roll can never die"

That's what I was going to say. It's also one of his more popular songs. Lyrics to that can be found here.

Well? Was that the actual song?
