Postby zelda » Mon Dec 04, 2006 12:01 pm

ok I thought this would be fun!
first write all the concerts you've been to(doesn't have to be in order), then write the concert you most regret going to(lol!), then write your favorite concert you've been to!

Concerts I've been to:
ZoeGirl(x2)
The Wedding
Sky Harbor
SuperChick
The O.C. SuperTones
Jump 5
Evanescence
Revelation Theory
KJ-52
Natelie Grant(x2)
Plus 1
Tammy Trent
Seconds From Waiting
(i can't rember the rest...)

The most regreted concert:
Jump 5 (they suck!)

Best concert!:
EVANESCENCE!!!! best night of my life(well one of them...)! good seats, good time, i spent all my money on tickets and tour crap(t shirts, buttons, necklace). :D! good times.........

Anthrax and Rob Zombie
Hourcast, Breaking Benjamin, and Godsmack

I enjoyed them both immensely, but Godsmack was my favorite because they're number four on my list of favorite bands.

Beanbag, Newsboys, Sonic Flood, Petra, Plumb, Rebecca St. James, Seventh Day Slumber, Skillet, The Benjamin Gate, Blindside, Showbread, The Showdown, Kutless, Jeremy Camp, Pillar, Stretch Arm Strong, Mercury Switch, (a whole ton of local rock acts) Flatfoot 56, Spoken, Dead Poetic, Disciple, Stryper, Jars of Clay, Kevin Max, Toby Mac, Audio A, Thousand Foot Krutch, Haste The Day, Eastwest, Accident Experiment, Element 80, Fusebox, Eklezia,Superchick, Relient K, Big Dismal, Jaded Thorns, Mutemath, August Burns Red, Staple, Third Day, Magni, and probably a ton I have forgotten. I go to Soulfest each year...so that always bumps my list up a bit. Out of all these shows, I would say the best music wise....was probably...Accident Experiement. Saw them in a little nightclub/bar and man..what a show. Marcos tore up on guitars...and Pete Stewarts vocals were great. As far as most fun at a concert...by far, Flatfoot 56 at Soulfest 2006 was the most fun. They had a wall of death. Need I say more?

N'Sync *headdesk*

Great Big Sea (absolutely excellent, it was a gorgeous summer night at a festival and I was less than 20 feet from the stage)

Random concerts like Downhere and Larue through my church

Thornley (eh..it was loud)

The Who (must..not..start..screaming...again *twitch* I'm still rather giddy about this one ^^)

Gah. I almost got to see Ok Go/Snow Patrol and Ron Sexsmith but the latter sold out in an hour and Ron came through during finals week. But I am happy to say that I've seen two of my absolute obsessively favorite bands live

I've seen:

Pat Metheney Group
Deadsy
10 Years
Dir en grey x2
Bleed the Dream

Plus a punch of other bands at various festivals (not rock) who's names I forget or don't care to mention. I also didn't mention any of the bands i've seen that I don't like, which is a suprisingly high number. But yeah, not many.

Sonicflood...

That's it.
I might go to soul fest this year though.

Trust me, I would go to half of the bands I love if it wasn't for a certain health condition that only allows me to hear from one ear.

EDIT: What a coincidence!
I just got invited to go to a Maylene/August Burns Red/Drop Dead, Gorgeous concert in May.

I just saw Switchfoot and Copeland last night.

Daggum. Copeland was really good, but Switchfoot blew me away. They were just so tight musically, and the showmanship was incredible (i.e. Jon walking through the crowd and standing on the bar to sing while the band played on the stage, the band turning a split second pause into a song into about a minute and freezing exactly in place, the freak out at the end of Dirty Second Hands where the band goes nuts and Jon puts his guitar down and grabs a cymbal and starts beating on it with a drum stick).
I'm a shoe-in for hater of the year.

Skillet (3), insane, insane live show
Apologetix, far better live than on their cds
Flatfoot 56, the same one Steve mentioned
When Legends Die
August Burns Red
Haste the Day (2, soon to be three)
Audio Adrenaline's last New England show...I think...
Relient K
Sanctus Real (1 and half)
Eleventyseven
part of a Dead Poetic show (new stuff = meh)
Newsboys
Pillar (2)
The Benjamin Gate

annnnd I've probably seen more, but I just can't remember...

From the top of my head:

Jars of Clay
DC Talk
Grits
Jennifer Knapp
Third Day
Chris Rice
Bebo Norman
Derek Webb (3x's)
Sandra McCracken (2x's)
Andrew Peterson
Andrew Osenga (of the Normals)
Randall Goodgame
Jill Phillips (2x's)
Ten Shekel Shirt
Fernando Ortega
Indelible Grace
The Ragamuffin Band (the Farewell to Rich tour)
Red Mountain Church
Creed (2x's)
Full Devil Jacket
Collective Soul
Our Lady Peace
Oleander
Nickel Creek (2x's)
Weezer
Dashboard Confessional
Counting Crows
John Mayer
Radiohead

That's good for now.

Full Devil Jacket was the worst. Bad stage musically for me, that's for sure.

Best would be between Nickel Creek and Radiohead. Nickel Creek played for two and a half hours, I was incredibly close to the stage, incredible concert. Radiohead was amazing to be at, because the band is even better live than on their albums.
