I know this isn't the right place to mope around but I have to blow it somewhere.
our wrestling tournament here in las vegas started this morning and I have this horibble, horibble losing streak.
3 hours later I've lost two matches making my win/lose ratio to 3:10.
I've been training long and hard yet I can't seem to accomplish to anything.

and I had a fight with my other team mate. until now that I'm home I'm still carrying that grudge in me. I've worked hard for everything that I wanted in my life but I can't ammount to anything....I sux....

Awww. :sniffle: I know how that feels, tho. I'm like the world's biggest loser, trust me. But remember this: God loves you no matter what. I know its hard, very hard. Cuz I feel the same way sometimes. Sometimes I feel unwanted untalented and unloved... but I just keep believing that God loves me even when I don't do everything perfect. ^_^V

At 16 I was a terrible baseball player. But honestly, how much time did baseball take of my life overall and what impact would it really have as to who I was and what God wanted to do in my life. Zero. You are 16. You have about 60 to 70 more years (if not longer) to learn what wonderful things God has in store for you. One of my favorite movies is, "It's A Wonderful Life." At the very end Jimmy Stewart looks in the book that the angel has given to him to read the inscription, "No man is a failure who has friends." And you have one of the greatest friends around who will never leave you nor forsake you...Jesus. Hang in there. What are you doing is very competitive, but, it's supposed to be fun as well. And if it can't be fun, it's not worth doing. God has given us this wonderful life for joy. So if you can't find real joy in it, I'd move on to something else.

I knew a most of the guys on the wrestling team in high school, and I know how seriously they take their sport (not eating, punishing exercise, etc.). When you put that much effort into something, it is tough to lose. However, I doubt that dwelling on your failure (except to figure out what you did wrong in the matches so that you can do better next time) will help you break your losing streak.

Losing stinks, especially for competitive people (like me), but oftentimes you can learn a great deal from failure. For example, I doubt that wrestling is your only talent. Perhaps this is a sign that you should concentrate more on other things that make you happy. Maybe you need to train with more intensity, or maybe you need a break from wrestling for a while. I don't know, but I'm sure you will be about to figure it out.

It also might help to be reconciled with the teammate with which you had a fight.

I hope this helps. :)

yeah, you can use it to find stuff that might need to be worked on and stuff like that, then you can use it to make you even better. one thing too id say is to just have fun with it and do the best you can, for me with lots of things ive found if im always worried about how im doing and stuff i actually do worse, but if i just do it, i do alright. so do the best you can, have fun with it, find out what needs work and work on those things. guess thats just a really long way of saying what whiteblaze just said.

Its funny how life works because I tend to think the same about myself. Just give it up to the Lord and remember my favorite quote from my best friend: "Things are going to get better". I will pray for you!
