Sad, but I'm just glad no one was harmed...

Yeah, I heard about this yesterday. The Back to the Future thing kinda made me feel like crying.

And the funny thing was they didn't specify on CNN this morning which Universal it was. I kept sitting there like, "Okay, that's sad, but where did this happen? Hello? You people..."

And now it occurs to me: where else would they keep the sets? XD

But still, that's a tragedy. Sort of a piece of history gone now, I guess...if you'd call it a piece of history.

I almost spazzed. I thought it was the Uni that is down here. But I am still sad.

Man, the Back to the Future courthouse just does not catch a break, does it?

Apparently not.

I wonder if people are going to start going around with cans and flyers and yelling "SAVE THE CLOCK TOWEERRRR".

Same here...I was like, "Wait a minute...we were just there recently..." O_O

Actually, my dad told me that the set caught fire a few years ago too. You think something is going on with that set in particular?

Yeah! Johnny and Roy and the crew from Station 51 and the rest of the L. A. County Fire Dept couldn't stop it.

Could be as simple as 20+ year old wiring...

I think the big loss here actually may be the king kong attraction... it was a massive animatronics piece with lots of effects and was a big advertising piece for the park and the studio tour ride.

The fire was accidental. Workers using a blow torch to try to remove shingles from a building roof had done the work and then left. When they came back 30 minutes later everything was on fire.
It seems everytime someone uses a blow torch to heat something like pipes or make something easy to remove they set something on fire.
I have run many fires like that. Alot of them became multipale alarms.

All those televised land marks u_u

I'd be so mad if they came back with a follow up and say it wasn't caused by an accident >_>
