While we're on the subject of word meanings, I have a question of my own that has been bothering me for quite some time.
The seal for Cambridge University Press has the words: "Domimina Nustio Illumea." Any idea what it means? I'm guessing it's either Greek or Latin, if that helps.
It has to mean something...they wouldn't put it there otherwise.
> Does anyone know the word that means 'eager to fight'?
cbwing0 said it already, but pugnacious was the first one that came to my mind. 'Belligerent', too, mebbe?

Actually, you can be irked, agitated and irritated without being eager to fight, as there can be a large difference 'twixt angry and scrapping. You can be eager to fight without being upset.
> Thanks. I love using big words on people. Especially when they say, "What? Speak English!"
Yes, but I thought you were the quiet one, aren't you?
