Where has Archan been?

Hey!
Well, first off just to inform all the newbies, I tend to dissappear for rather large periods of time. So not everyone might get a reply, but that doesn't mean I don't care. I am after all, a hugger
But anyways as I promised, a full explination of my whereabouts. NOTE: This is a recycled Letter (MANY THANKS TO GYPSY! Your still one of the best Sis!) so there might be some continuity errors, but that should be it....stress on "should be".
I guess the last appearence I made was around summer, so I'll start
there.
I was working on a major project for my advanced story boarding classwhich basically swallowed all my time, as well as the three other classes I was taking. Basically I had to do this huge animatic (A moving/animated storyboard) in which I was writing a script, designing characters, layout, BG's, model sheets, and around 50-60 sotryboard sheets, each sheet having three panels making a grand total of 170-180
individual drawings (roughly), not counting all the work done for the BG's and the model sheets and all that other Jazz. If that weren't enough, I had to do thumbnail boards before my actual clean up boards, so 180 doubles to 320 roughly. Then, after I was done with that I had to scan in each sheet individually, break up each panel for each sheet, and throw it all together in After Effects to make my final animatic. Whew.....
At the same time, however, I was also preping and getting other work
done for a Production class called Darksyde which, in itself, was much work as well. That was my summer.
Then I had a week off which I spent preping to restart teaching art (My
seasonal job) at a private christian school. That basically ate up my week off. Around this time though I think I finally found some time to e-mail Ash.
Anywho, enter the current fall quarter (Which I'm currently in) I am
now One of the Head Directors and Lead character Advisors participating in the Darksyde Production class, in which we are currently developing a show to pitch to one of the major
production houses here in LA (Nick, Cartoon Network, Mike Young, WB,
Disney, etc....). That means were doing Character deisgn, BG work,
Storyboards,Script Writing, Bios (for the charaters), and two weeks from now we will have started roughing out the animation to a rough sound track thats just been recently recorded.
If this wasn't enough, one of my co-directors had to fly off to NC
because his father died, so that made things complicated. He's doing fine now by the way...just in case you were wondering.
With this however, I'm also doing a full blown live action spoof of the
Power Rangers with a few friends of mine for two of my other classes, meaning more script writing, designing costumes, and getting ahold of equipment. Also, we've currently hashed out the choreography for a fight sequence. We have to begin shooting soon though or else I don't think we'll meet the deadline. Also, theres another fight
sequence between the characters ZORDs, which will be done via stop
motion animation and composited over live footage and hashed together once again in After Effects.
On top of this, I have a monologue to memorize for my Theatre class,
and have to begin rehersing for a play I have to do with fellow classmates for our final. In case your wondering again, Were doing Mary Shelleys Frankenstein. I'n fact I just got through writing the script.
Then I have a ton of other work to finish come this monday, and I'm now currently teaching my art class for gas and grocery money.
Annnnddddd......I think thats it. Is it? Yeah, think it is. Hence a
short glimpse into the life of Archan.
Wow, looking at all this makes me wonder how I havent just collapsed
from drawing so much yet. I'm soooooo gonna have carpal tunnel when I get older. Now you know though why I've been such a ghost if not just a memory around the CAA.
So there you have it. My life. Hopefully this answeres whatever questions may be floating around and such. Tootles!
God Bless,
Archan
P.S. Took your guy's and gal's advice about the sig...
