While I think the hamdog picture doesn't look appetizing, I've eaten most, if not all, of those ingredients together for breakfast/brunch.

Egg, bacon, onion etc. can all be found in most breakfast meals you can order from restaurants. Of course I don't have the exact calorie count, but it just looks worse because of the presentation.

A married couple I know has made some headway by splitting entrees. The cost is halved and there's always enough. If the portions get any bigger they could probably work their kid in there and feed the whole family for ten bucks.
