Watcha doin' for Halloween?

Talk about anything in here.

That is an actual law? The age one? I know last year, a bunch of classmates (we were all sophomores) went trick or treating and were scolded by a man with a baby. Then again, he was a man with a baby.
Actually, I remembered, it's Sunday...normally I return to the dorm that evening, so maybe there's something then. I know there's a costume contest the week before, though. Either way, no free candy for me. :/

I will be studying for a Hispanic Literature test. The text and test are in Spanish of course.

That sounds like a truly terrifying Halloween. I'll probably be spending time that weekend working on my analysis of Heart of Darkness, so "The horror! The horror!" works for me too.

Not sure if I'll be going trick or treating with an exchange student I know or not. I normally don't go, but I might just to see her reaction to the holiday.

I don't know if there were laws where I went to college, but when at least ten of us college kids got together and went trick-or-treating, nobody had any problems.

I was a geisha last year. ^_^

When my sister was in college, she and her friends went trick-or-treating in a fancy-shmancy neighborhood where people gave out money instead of candy.

This year on Halloween night I will be with my sister and brother-in-law at a church cookout.
Edit: Due to certain unfortunate circumstances, tonight's trip to Field of Screams is off. I was really looking forward to it, too . . . Ehh, no sweat. I've been meaning to carve a pumpkin, perhaps I'll do that tonight. I've got an idea. Pics if I get it done.

Point of interest: At the library across from my house, there's a tuxedoed, life-size dummy with long grey hair and a top hat on its skull head. It's been scaring the crap out of small children for weeks now.

I don't celebrate Halloween. In fact, I strongly oppose it, and with good reason.

I would like to point out that those "poisonings/kidnappings/animal sacrifice" things that your dad wrote about have been investigated and have been proven to be completely false. They are no more prevalent at Halloween than at any other time of the year. Also, many pagans have strong convictions that you never do things to purposely hurt either people or animals (and there are also many, many different denominations of pagans, for that matter), so you'd need to be specific which pagans you were referring to that did such things.

While I respect that you don't feel comfortable celebrating Halloween, perpetuating rumors that have no basis in reality is a terrible thing to do.

I might play Eternal Darkness or something. I don't know really, maybe I'll end up writing out a paper on how various holiday's have pagan imagery that no longer means anything in them but people still, for some reason, freak out about it since I do occasionally go into personal ramblings about various issues that suddenly catch my interest. I'll cross that road when I get to it on Sunday and just go from there. Oh but I will sleep, that's for sure, I will have glorious, glorious sleep.

Probably staying in doors, trying not to get killed in the third most violent city in America during one of the most violent nights of the year.

Our pumpkins, let me show you them. Unfortunately they got moldy really fast, so these pics were taken right before they went into the dumpster. ;_;

This was our first year carving. For mine, I chose the Rebel Alliance insignia.

So yeah. Next year, definitely gonna wait until a few days before Halloween to take sharp instruments to my giant orange squashes.

I approve of these pumpkins, Nette. ^o^

I'm probably going to a Halloween party that I was invited to by the foreign exchange students at my school. I think we might carve pumpkins or something too. XD;
That's on Saturday, though.

On Sunday the 31st, I'm going to spend my day doing lots and lots of homework. \-_-/

Well, I might be going to a party at my school on friday, depending on whether or not my friends are for sure going to it (None of them seem to be able to make up their minds if they are or not >:( )

Then on sunday, I'm going to a thing at my church. I might go trick or treating afterwards. As far as I know, there's no laws against it here ;;>_>
