The teacher should lose her license for this. People will try cut people off in their lives and try not to understand other people or their problems.

Is this a shock that it happens, not really. This kind of stuff has happen before and reading this makes me think of the Ryan White story.

The only thing was with him is, it wasn't the teacher that wanted him, the school didn't want him to come to school out of fear.

Unfortunately the teacher won't lose her job as teacher's unions make up excuses all the time and get away with it.

Only in a perfect world would she get fired for this.

Because just separating them from all the other kids from the start is the right way to go about things. Isn't that sort of what happened here?

I think what they meant was homeschooling as a self confidence booster. If the child can learn and develop in their own way, and are taught so they can feel good about themselves, then they might have a better shot in life. There are also homeschooling groups for kids as well, that way they aren't seperated or isolated. Some kids just do better homeschooled.

I second that motion. As I would have easily been suicidal had it not been for my parents dedication to my homeschooling. Although homeschooling didn't make any friends for me either, I at least had the relief of not being the easy target in a classroom and the space for my own environment.

I'm very glad this was the case for me.....though I don't have Asburgers, I had slight tendancies as a child, but have been able to out grow them as I've gotten older and as my relationship with God has strengthened.

If I was put into public or private school as a child as young as that 5 year old, I would anywhere near who I am today.....

I really feel that my parents should have homeschooled me earlier...from k-5 I was taunted, tormented, teased, and shunned. For no reason other than "easy target." Homeschooling was my happiest time. No stupid people to torment me. I mean when I went to christian school my non tease day was sat. due to the fact that most of the kids went to our church too. My self esteem isn't the best...but it's better since being away from it. However....highschoolers intimidate me...and I'm older than them.
