No. The typo on that one makes it that much better (not counting the fact that more than likely it was intentional). I'll allow it because it's a cute little puppy and the fact that the cute little puppy made it as far as "Who's Awesome?" before making a typo is good enough for me.

XD I can understand why people would feel the need to cover up offensive things, but like Fish and Chips said, if something were so terribly offensive to me that I felt I wouldn't want to look at it, I'd just stay away from the series/volumes as a whole.

That said, and this is a message to everyone, let's try to remember Romans 14 in this thread, and remember that there are certain things that individual Christians will or will not handle. Please remember not to make any judgments based on those things.

Your posts are really starting to impress me, RD.

I sort the difficult images into two different categories:
Content for the sake of gratification, and
Content for the sake of plot or emotional direction.

The above being what I could classify pornography as, while the latter being more of what people see as possibly "artistic nudity", "necessary violence", or anything that is critical or major regarding plot. ( ie. Cheating, demon-related content, etc.)

To clarify, I'm not a fan of fanservice. -_-
Anime should be taken like all forms of entertainment: with a grain of salt.

A note about life drawing: As I have heard drawing explained in many instructional books, one of the main skills essential to drawing is altering your way of seeing or rather perceiving your subject, i.e. looking at the subject as shapes rather than a thing. The books I've read have exercises for developing this mental shift, and I imagine it would be something worth looking into for anyone squeamish about life drawing classes.

I've noticed that women in particular are less inclined to be bothered by nudity in manga and anime, especially in terms of female nudity. Guys on the other hand, seem to be either really disturbed, or really turned on by anything slightly sexual or nude.

Most likely it's because women don't think the same way as us guys, but it still intrigues me. Maybe it's just me. -.-

No, I think you're completely right. Maybe our biological makeup is different, but I'd say there's a FAR better chance that it has more to do with society just molding us this way. I think that is the best explanation on why women have so much less problems than us men. I mean, it's obvious that women have been being made sexual objects in the U.S. since even a hundred years ago. It's not the case for men though, and that's why I think nudity isn't a problem for women.

Oh, that, and the fact that nudity in anime is almost always girl nudity. Unless you're a lesbian (of which there are few ), that will never be a problem.

No, society has corrupted sexuality but God wired girls and guys differently - hence two sexes.

Yes.

Sexuality has been corrupted for ages. God wired men to be very very attracted to women and that attraction has been perverted into the idolization and exploitation of the female body. It's not just a modern day American problem; it's been this way for quite some time, getting worse as time goes by.

And just because there isn't nearly as much male nudity out there doesn't mean women don't have problems. Extreme fangirls come to mind. All it takes is a shirtless bishonen, XD.

That's one of the reasons I wear a non-transparent shirt when I go swimming (on the rare occasions that I do go swimming), and why I don't go about the neighborhood without a shirt even on hot days. I do try to be mindful of girls. It's not as if they're invincible.

Rather than inspire lust, the sight of me shirtless inspires girls to gouge out their eyes.
