Talk about anything in here.

Hovind has always refused to engage in written debate. Moreover, he has been exposed. Anyone who cares to do research on the man will find that out almost immediately. Hell, many of his arguments have found their way onto AIG's "Do not use" list. If that's not a tip off than what is? You've as much as admitted that the money is phoney yourself.

How many times have the JW's made predictions about the end of the world? And yet there are still JW's. People will believe what they want to believe.

And now...off to the anime club. First showing of the semester.
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

Anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding its way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that democracy means that my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge

People will believe what they want to believe. Fitting phrase for this thread as well. Unless someone has new information (not another point on this subject) I'd say we're about done here. By this I mean we're completely done.

Unless the AIG people actually respond, in which case Bobtheduck has every right to post something about it.

Aw. Does that mean it's being locked? I was having fun discussing open theism! :waah!:
To all, life thou givest, to both great and small.
In all life, thou livest, the true life of all.
We blossom and flourish as leaves on a tree
And wither and perish, but naught changeth thee.

It won't be locked because AIG needs the chance to answer... But, let it be burried until someone there decides to come here, if that ever actually happend, I mean

If I'd locked this thread, I would have stated so and you wouldn't be able to post. I think Bobtheduck has the idea: let the thread bury itself unless something happens.

You have my blessing to discuss via pm (as if that matters). Meanwhile, I'm locking this thread to prevent others from seeing it and posting more. If the AiG people respond, feel free to pm me and I'll reopen it.
