Killing for Cosmetics.

There are a lot of bizarre, gross news stories out there... But this one just made me stop and "Wut?"

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/8369674.stm

Thought I'd share. Not that I have anything against cosmetics or the use thereof... Just something to think about. And maybe the next time you're 'painting the barn door', give a thought to what goes into that Estée Lauder you're smearing on your face.

...or who.

Would it be in terribly bad taste to make a Soylent Green joke right now?

That's actually the first thing I thought of when I saw that article. XD;;

That's really, really disturbing though. Good thing I don't wear makeup! XD

At some point you'd think one of them would have said, "Hey, I think it would be easier to raise pigs instead."

Disturbing indeed, and another example of reality imitating art. It's like a strange cross between certain parts of Fight Club and Perfume: Story of a Murderer.

O.O Those poor people!

How did it take so long before the authorities caught on?

This is just as disturbing as the people hooking up online so they can be eaten by cannibals.

This reminds me of Fight Club.
Where they use fat from peoples liposuctions to make really high class soap.

Ah, the worlds a funny place indeedy.
