Then why do you see shounen-ai and yaoi anime and manga then, if its a small minority?

Japan has millions of people. The number of people that like that kind of thing is really small compared to the number of people living there.

Seriously, let's NOT go down this path, okay?

Like.... seriously?

And what Beau says is true. Yaoi, Shonen-ai, among other things like Hentai have a small but prominent following in Japan. (Obviously they're willing to spend lots of money for it)

And your point is, that stuff sells in Japan. I don't see how you can say its a small group that likes it, when its a hot seller in Japan. That's like saying hentai doesn't sell well in Japan and it does, do I like that it does, no.

Consider the "QFT" nature of this post to be an official statement--let's stop that line of discussion here, please.

It's true that Crocs and their imitators feel kind of icky on bare feet. Sockliners would help.... in case the LONE other Croc fan here is interested. ;)

Crocs + socks = instant fail.

I do not wear mine with socks and never will.

I have that particular style in black and I LOVE them! I really only wear them to work but they have saved my knees and ankles a lot of stress. I used to alternate between my millions of pairs of flats but after a few hours of standing, however cute they may be did not compensate for the pain in my legs and back.
I can wear Crocs for eight hours and have virtually no pain. That is why I wear them and why I recommend them. I'm one of the most fashionable people I know but when you're in pain, you just want relief.
"So David said to Michal, "It was before the LORD, who chose me instead of your father and all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the LORD, over Israel. Therefore I will play music before the LORD. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maidservants of whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honor."

2 Samuel 6: 21&22

"I am going to take this bucket of water and pour it on the flames of hell, and then I am going to use this torch to burn down the gates of paradise so that people will not love God for want of heaven or fear of hell, but because He is God."

Then your feet will become even more stinky and sweat (kidding) :P If they are really that uncomfy on the bottom.. Why not buy one of those sole thingies to stick in there o.o? I still kinda think that the holes are there to allow your feet to breath. If you wear socks.. It'll just defeat the purpose of the them :P

How long have crocs been around?

Exactly correct.

How long have crocs been around?

Since 2002 under the current incarnation.

Before that, they had a different name and were made by a company called Foam Creations.

I remember having a pair of dress shoes like the one I posted up recently, but they weren't foam. They were the plasticy types that really do hurt your feet O_O

The foam stuff isn't really that bad. The sandals I wear now are foam like and very comfy. I can actually walk a long while before my feet start to hurt ^^ It don't think they're crocs though ^^
