I know this is the CAA, but...

I was wondering how many people on here also post on theologyweb(since it is a sister site, after all). I think I already remember a few who have similar avatars or usernames...

Obviously, I am a member there, although for some reason I haven't found as much to say; I suppose I like lurking over there more. My username: Heartablaze

Just a simple poll, and maybe your username, differences between here and there, and what you like to do on there.

There are so many departments!

I was on theologyweb a couple times when I was looking for a copy of a Calvinism debate. I first joined so I could have a place to debate an atheist. But he chickened out.

It is pretty intimidating over there, but there is a lot to learn, if you don't get overwhelmed, that is. There's a lot of chance of that, though.

My thoughts exactly...that's why I don't really have any interest in visiting TheologyWeb in the first place.

I shall visit if God calls it upon me to do so.
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

I enjoy debating but almost everyone their is too intelligent to reason with or enjoy conversing with. Interesting topics but too heavy in my opinion. I wish we could post those sort of topics here so we could nut them out.

Personally, I've never even been to the site.

I enjoy hearing sides and researching to give a point evidence, but I dislike actual debating so much that even if I'm just observing, I will more than likely start to have a panic attack. Even if it's just over the internet. I know, I'm silly. ^^

I've been a member of TheologyWeb since February 2004, although I had taken a break from the forums for quite some time. Still, I finally returned there in recent months. In fact, I just posted a new thread there titled C.H. Dodd, Realized Eschatology, and the Present Reign of God. While the debate sections like the Wrestling Ring and Apologetics are one of the flashiest and most popularly visited sections of the forum, many areas of the forum allow for more conversation based discussion (the Systematic Theology Department and Basketball Court come to mind). Similarly, whimsical additions like Mononoke's Dorm, the Rec Room, and typically silly Paltalk chats help relieve a lot of the tension. Hanging out at TheologyWeb and learning things there really helped me in my transition to college, where I always blew away my philosophy professors with my level of philosophical comprehension. For those who are afraid to go to TheologyWeb, I would suggest you enter, explore, and learn. You'll only understand God better than you already do, and that's no bad thing.
