Epic in its awesomeness.

I don't even play Soul Caliber, but that makes me want too.

Come undone, bring me back to life

Someone get Link Antilles's attention. This might actually get him interested in a fighting game for once.

PS3 version get Darth Vader. Xbox 360 gets Yoda.

This is a perfect match for me being a PS3 owner. Because I am going to bust some fools up with the Dark Side.

Interesting. They seem a bit more out of place than the more medieval themed extra characters from Soul Calibur II. Cool nonetheless. I really can't wait for the character creation system.

Trailer and to the doubters

C'mon guys. It is a video game.

TriezGamer wrote:Am I the only person who really doesn't like all these bonus characters being borrowed from other universes?
Not sure if you're the only one, but franchises like Marvel vs. Capcom, Capcom vs. SNK were fantastic fighting game franchises while featuring characters from all types of universes. So such a move does not necessarily mean a drop in game quality.

The Soul Calibur universe is also quite laughable in terms of consistency, chronology, and logic. So I do not see how adding Star Wars really breaks anything when one can argue that the game universe is not particularly put well together in the first place, like most Japanese fighting games.

New characters of the Soul Calibur universe are also introduced in this iteration. So I do not see the real loss of anything significant to those who are not interested in Star Wars.

This should be interesting.....
Some of my favorite scriptures.

Psalm91
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

Hebrews 4-4
1Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

James 4
Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

And you're complaining about that in a game where one of the characters drives his huge battle axe into your stomach, spins you around on it, throws you about sixty feet into the air, and your character gets back up and fights?

As far as the actual news itself, I must respond with a hearty "Meh."

And, notice how there is no release for the Wii. I suppose this is retribution for the Gamecube port having the most seriously terribly broken character in 3d fighting game history.

Those games are built around the concept of characters from multiple universes to begin with though.

And if a Wii port is made, have Link again or at least somebody from the Fire Emblem games.

Well this works out perfect... Have an XBox360 and Yoda is my hero... though my brother will be a bit disappointed. His is Darth Vader. And it will be disappointing me and him can't fight each other as Yoda and Vader =( 2 player Star Wars Battlefront II, he's Vader, I'm Yoda and I tare him up so bad, lol.

Yoda FTW...

Lol:lol:, I guess a lot of people really dislike the prequel trilogy:lol:.
Yoda is still cool. I'm just a bigger fan of Transformers, GI JOe, LOTR, Halo, other series's.

Namco should really consider adding more than just one guest star from a certain franchise.

I don't what you have to complain about really. At least 360 and PS3 owners are getting a Soul Caliber games for the seventh gen consoles.

Wii owners are getting shouldered with some cheap hack 'n' slash button bash fest some bright spark decided to call Soul Caliber Legends... and its pretty rubbish to boot.
Will insert something intelligent here later... maybe
