I don't know how my attitude changed, but over the past week or so I just haven't felt close to God as constantly as I used to over the last few years. I can't say what made the change specifically (I have theories) but can you please pray for me to still believe in Him.
Thank you.

I will pray. Sometimes we need to go through those valleys to truly move up to the next level in our faith.

I'll pray too. And I don't think you'll lose your relationship with God at all. For you to be worried enough to post a thead about this, it shows that you really have faith in him. That's a wonderful thing. ^_^

Very nicely said Volt. I'm using this for my signature. Dunno if you'll see this or not, but can I?

Just to be clear bigsleepj, unconfessed or ongoing sin can adversely affect your relationship with God. The good news is though, is that we don't have to "clean ourselves up" just to come to God. Any time we are ready to repent of our own selfish ways and proud attitudes, God is ready to receive us. We are all like the prodigal son in that we sometimes forsake God in the misguided belief that we can do things our own way, in our own strength, but we need to give up these false ideas. Jesus told us, that apart from Him, we can do nothing. Paul told us, that he could do all things through Christ who strengthened him. Are you walking in Christ, truly forsaking yourself and the vain things of this world to follow Him?
If you are not, all I can say is just be real with God, and pour your heart out to Him. Confess your sins, your failure, your feelings, and your struggles to Him. Humble yourself before God, and He will lift you up.
I'm not truly giving my all to the Lord, and I need to be, so excuse this prodigal son for a minute while he makes thing right with his Heavenly Father, who is always ready to receive him.
Peace in Christ,
SK.
