there was only a funnel in the sky, it didnt touch down, but there was massive flooding in the area (my house is on top of a mountain so im ok) and high winds, 4 houses were destroyed and the power was out for 12 hours, and i heard 3 people got strucked by lightning.

thx you guys for praying it could have been worse.

Thank the Lord you're okay. Let's pray for those struck by lightning and those whose homes were damaged.

Oh my gosh, I'm so terrified of tornadoes! One touched down close to where I was once. Passed right by the house I was in. Makes such an odd sound....like a cross between a truck and a jet. Awesome that you're safe! Praise God!

I live in Omaha and there were a total of 18 twisters just north of us last night (May 22). The damage was so bad our governer has declared a state of emergency. We were lucky, the twisters didn't come our way, we only got minor flooding in our basement, but please pray for those who lost their homes, and the family who who lost a loved one. Please also pray for people in or around Bradgate, Iowa where the damage is so great that sheriffs have sealed off the town, and almost everyone in the community, of around fifty homes, has had their home destroyed or damaged. If you want to read the AP story click on this link.

I've never experienced tornadoes but I know of the damage they can bring to a city. I'll be praying that everyone makes it through this storm safe and sound.
