struggling with Lust

I'm really struggling with lust right now. Lusting at people in my school, on tv, and all over the internet is a constant temptation for me, and lately I've been failing a lot. It's really hurting my relationship with God. My spirit is willing to give this sin up, my body is weak. I could really use some prayer support in combating this. Thanks, and God Bless.

I'll pray for you. I've dealt with this before, be sure to keep your faith in God, ask him to help you. If you fail just pray more. you'll pull through and your relationship with God will be stronger. Remeber, I'm praying for you.

This is supposed to be good, though it's designed for married men and not single men. I think every guy struggles with lust at some point in their life, and most are currently struggling with it or just giving into it and even feeding it at every possible chance, one or the other.

It is a major struggle with me... There is a program out there you may want to check out... It may not work right on your comptuer, it doesn't work on mine, but if it does work, it's worth having. Find the e-mail of someone you trust and who can keep you accountable, and download this program X3watch

You can ignore the site it came from if you want... It seems shocking (the name of the site) but it does that to make you do a double take, to show that they're not all "That s word is from satan" and it is a really good site run by people who actualy want to see the end to the problem with pornography in a Christian's life. Just a warning, the program doesn't work on every configuration... It doesn't send the e-mail on my computer.

ADDENDUM to the site: I'm a little upset that they let themselves be the butt of the daily show's top joke report of the day, but honestly I suppose whatever gets the news out is good...

I've read that book. There's also Every Young Man's Battle, which has really helped me.

Hey I'll be praying for you it seems that all of us guys go through this, kinda annoying isnt it the flesh always wants to give in to these things. Stay srong I know you can make it through and you will be better because of it

I will pray for you. Ive gone through the same thing for a looooonnnnng time and I just stopped battling against but I still need prayer for those sudeen urges.

I'll tell you what helps me whenever I am tempted to lust. I imagine my self at the crucifixion and I kneel before Jesus while my guardian angel prays over me. When I feel ready I imagine the person that I am being tempted to lust after kneeling before Jesus on the cross clothed in a white garment and I pray for that person, that they may know the love of God, and that I may see them as I child of God created in his own image. I kid you not, this has never failed me. I will pray for your strength to resist temptation.

That's great advice, CDLviking , I'll try it myself.

I too would like to ask for prayer, satan is really kicking the crap out of me right now, and I have been battling this for more than a year.

I will pray for those who asked for prayer too.
