Typhoon Haiyan (Philippines)

I know this happened a few weeks ago, but I haven't seen anything on CAA about it and thought it would be good to have a thread to encourage one another to be in prayer for the Philippines in the aftermath of super typhoon Haiyan.

Let's be in prayer for preservation of life for those who are still facing lack of shelter and deprivation, for relief efforts, for rebuilding, for the alleviation of poverty, and that even in these circumstances those living in the Philippines would be drawn closer to God and not turn away from him.

The course of rebuilding after a disaster of this magnitude is long, so let's continue to remember the people of the Philippines--in giving if you are able, in prayer if you are willing--regardless of whether the event still appears in news feeds.

Praying. I saw the devastation that typhoon did in the news. Very sad. Almost all the houses got completely destroyed. The news even mentioned people robbing each other just for food. :(. Thankfully there are many volunteers from all over the world.

I completely agree obviously, and if anyone can, they should donate to a trusted charity for this cause. They still desperately need it. I recommend crs.org; 93% of money recieved goes straight to relief.
