GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

MY POST GOT EATEN! I had to post this again.. if this becomes a double post, this is why... I didnt' see my post posted. This is part of the reason why I don't post much on CAA anymore. The board is very slow to load on my computer (with my 56K modem, and no, I'm not getting Cable or DSL anytime soon. Too poor and cable don't come out to my in the boonies area)... the board becomes fricking slow for me to load!

Anyway...

I got a job.

Yay!

Sure... my college education means nothing for this particular job... high school students are my co-workers (ugh! Teenagers are obnoxious), but, hey, it pays pretty good for what it is, and anything to pay my bills right now is good.

I started a shift on Sunday. Cold Stone Creamery.

Ice cream parlor. Yum!

Anyhow, I'm on the schedule for nights this week, Wed-Sun... kind of to try me out. I'm very happy to have a new job, and one with more and better hours for me than the piddly newspaper job...

Anyway... I'm praising God for this job, this chance.

I ask for prayer that I'm kept on at Cold Stone... that I don't screw up and they decide to keep me.

I'm hoping that if I do well, I might get full time instead of part time eventually, too. But for now, I need to be lifted up in prayer concerning learning this new job and in dealing with customers, co-workers, and management. Especially pray for me on the social/people skills, because I don't have many - don't do well with people... it's been very much the reason why I've failed so much in life up until now.

Also... I got a psych evaluation and should be getting back on medication soon. The pharamcy that's supposed to be filling my perscription hasn't gotten back to me, yet... I'm hoping that stuff with my state insurance goes through smoothy. The therapist who is supposed to call me to make an appointment with me hasn't called yet. So.. yeah, I'm also happy to report that I'm getting help finally... I hope. Stupid state insurance red-tape stuff, gah!

I'm glad to hear you have a new job Shadsie. I will pray that you continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, and that you can be a wonderful witness through your time at Cold Stone. The social skills will come with practice and as the word of God continues to change you as you get more of it in your heart. Don't dwell on past failures, our God is a God of second (and seventy times seven) chances (I know, I've blown it more times than I care to count).

I will pray that you find a group of believers close to you to lift you up and help you grow, and that you will find a home church to call your own.

I'll keep you lifted up in my prayers this week, as I am off of school and have more time to devote to prayer. Take care Shadsie.
