I didn't know them very long, but someone I knew tried to kill themselves, they went to get a surgery to try and help them... but it failed... Please pray for the family...

Oh my... I'm so sorry, suicide is never the solution, it only causes more pain. I don't know if this person was a christian or not, but taking your own life is a lack of faith and trust in God, it's so heartbreaking to see it. 
And even if you didn't know them very well, it's still an awful and horribly sad thing to deal with.
(My grandfather also did something like this last december and he didn't make it. It's a painful thing to go through.)
I'll keep their family in my prayers, please keep us updated on how they're doing. D:
