English Students

I can't believe I haven't asked you guys to pray for my students yet.
Yesterday I had the opportunity to talk to one of my students about my faith. She asked me to talk about death and how Christians view that, and then, through an unrelated question later, I had the opportunity to share about all the things going wrong in my life and how God is present and working even in the midst of that. I'm really hoping and praying that the Holy Spirit will work on her heart through what I and my co-teacher said last night.
Another of my students has told me that he's not interested in Christianity, but he is interested in Jesus Christ. I told him, "That's okay," and I gave him a copy of "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel. He's a doctor and a very intelligent man who has come to the conclusion through his own study that there must be a God, but he's not sure who that is. He prays to an idol in his home twice a day. Please pray for him, that through discovering Jesus Christ and he can discover the hope and grace of salvation.
Pray for all of my students. I have six adult students in all, and we read the Bible as part of our English classes. Three seem interested in learning more about God. Three seem completely uninterested. Please just pray for these people, that the Holy Spirit would work in their hearts and bring them the hope that can only come through Christ.
And don't forget to pray for Japan. There are over 15,000 confirmed dead from the Great East Japan Earthquake, but there are still over 8,000 missing. Pray for those who are grieving for family members, and pray for those who never had the closure of finding a body. This May, the suicide rate in Japan was higher than it's been in two years. I'm afraid that the suicide problem is only going to get worse. It breaks my heart. Pray for God's hope in Japan.
