Friend witnessed a shooting

A friend of mine saw a shooting right outside his house, and tried to tend to the guy before the paramedics and police got there. He's never seen anything like that in his life, and he's pretty shook up.
When he first saw the guy, he thought he was one of the shooters, so he ran into his house, but realized later the guy had been shot. He's not sure if the guy survived after the paramedics came.

I'll be praying as well for the both of them!
A shooting broke out at a friends wedding a couple of years ago. It was scary, because I've never been in that type of situation before o_o I was jumpy for a while.. I would jump at the slightest bump, thud, or similar sound.
