Urgent Prayer Needed Please

I have a friend named Shannon who is in a extremely violent and abusive relationship. She has a son with this person. She is terrified to leave and is in fear for her life. She can't drive because he controls the car, money and there are no shelters near enough for her to get away. She won't accept any money I try to send her. She said if I called the cops I would be putting her in further danger and that he doesn't leave any marks externally during the abuse even though he has hurt her physically

Please just pray for her and her son to get away safetly before this escalates further.

The one thing that's guaranteed to make it worse is doing nothing about it. Go in and talk to the police- they may be able to help you make a plan to help her and her kid.

I would call the cops if I had her home address which she wouldn't give to me. She is going to talk to her in-laws tomorrow, which she said they would most likely kick their son out of the house for his abusive behavior. Even though there is some evidence of battery, the cops will not do anything unless it is actively occurring at the time.

That's something I don't understand is why women stay when she and her son are getting abused like that. I don't understand at all and I hate that. Still, your in my prayers.

I was in abuse so I understand the psychology that goes in that. All I ask is people pray and not judge her in this (not saying anyone is, I just saying). Thanks all.

Already have among other friends. She is afraid that if she calls the cops and they don't take him (which is no guarantee), the he will literally kill her. Thank you praying.
