Tell me truly... has anyone here ever been so STUPID!!

Here's the situation... I went to my friend's house today, in a good neighborhood, just like every time I visit him... yet... this time is different. When I decide to go home about 2am (I was there since 8pm... like usual), I open my car door, which was unlocked as usual, only to find that my car stereo was ripped out of my dashboard!! On top of that, most of my cds (a collection that I paid for and have burned over the course of about 9 YEARS), my GBA with ALL of my GBA games (except for my copy of Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land) and accessories, my copies of Soul Calibur II and Phantasy Star Online Ep. 1 and 2 for Gamecube, a PS2 controller, my copy of Drakengard, and (quite possibly worst of all), my backpack (which contains EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY BOOKS FOR SCHOOL) WERE STOLEN FROM MY CAR!!! The only good thing that I could possibly think of is that I think they accidentally tripped the trunk release toggle in the glove compartment when they were rummaging through it because the only thing that was left untouched was the trunk of my car... which contained my acoustic and electric guitars! I'm so glad those were untouched... but so much other stuff was taken... please pray for me? I really hope that I can recover everything soon...

Oh that is truly disheartening. I am glad that they didn’t get your guitars. I know that it would really tick me off if someone stole my CDs, ::Kisses her CDs::
How much did you pay for your stereo?
Anyway I will pray for you.

This is awful. I hate it when someone innocent gets their belongings taken away but don't beat yourself over it. What has happened, has happened.

I'll pray for you and your offender. God Jehovah Jireh will provide for you and take care of you. May He also convict the one responsible for this.

Wow, that’s too bad. At least they didn’t steal anything important.
I’m not so sure your insurance will even cover the theft of the contents of your auto (unless it has intrinsic value to your car its self).

I take it that your reference to ‘being so stupid’ has to do with forgetting to lock my car doors, and not trying to steal things from peoples cars.

I tend to lock my doors more then I have to, but then again, I don’t really store anything of value in my car.

I will pray that you remember to lock your stuff from now on.

Dang. I remember the Toyota Camry I used to drive being jacked right out from under my family's nose exactly one week before I turned 18. Nothing was stolen. Just some guys jacked and hotwired it to go for a joyride.

I'll be praying, Nathan.

wowzers man. I'll be prayin for you and thankin God that your guitars wern't stolen. I do also have to say umm nightshade, if you haven't already, you NEED to forgive. you need to forgive them (the people or peoples who did it) AND you need to for give yourself. cause ALLLL that stuff is replaceable but if you dont forgive, it WILL mess you up.

And this is why you should always lock your doors. I always have the alarm set and anything of value tucked under the seats or at least out of site. It sounds like you're one of those people who live in their cars if ya know what I mean. But really you shouldn't have that much in your car period. Oh well I'm sure you've heard that before so I hope you learn from this.

I'm so sorry. I hate when stuff like this happens.

But don't kick yourself around about it though. It's really not your fault. I can't count the number of times that I've been more careless than you were.

I'll pray that perhaps God will prompt who ever this was to return your things.

just to answer a question... I paid around $400 for my stereo and I got it just this last January.

And I'd just like to make this point... please assume that I've already learned the lesson to lock my car from now on. Please, do not tell me what I already know. To be reminded of that fact hurts a lot and I'm already going through a lot of pain with this and other circumstances. Thank you.

Ouch, that's terrible! But at least they didn't steal Kirby. Perhaps he's two pink and sweet to steal.

Just trying to lighten your mood a little there, Nightshade! Seriously, though, I'll pray for you and that you can recover your belongings. I would be freaking out like crazy if I was in your shoes. Good luck!
