Financing matters

Greetings, CAA prayer warriors.

Recently, God has lavished many blessings over me including finances. It's gotten to the point that I'm wondering, "Gee, God, why? I don't deserve this...what are you trying to tell me? I'm so happy and grateful but I don't know what to do."

Today, I've gotten the hunch that God wants me to learn how to manage the resources He's given me, according to His plan and His desire.....Well, there's a little problem.

Money has always been one of my securities. I can't deny that money tends to reigns over God as a priority. It seems that God has decided that it's time for me to get my priorities right and learn to trust God completely with my worldly safety net. But I tell you now, I know my fears and it's going to be difficult for me to let go.

So please pray for God to show me wisdom in handling my finances and maximizing His glory with it. Please pray that I'll be able to trust God completely in this matter.

I hope to make some important financial decisions by one week's time so pls pray for me for one week. I appreciate everyone's kindness and support! Thanks!

I'll pray for you as well. We all need our priorities straight, and it's a hard thing to do. I guess if we really had the right priorities, then we wouldn't find ourselves in the messes that we do. It's good to hear that God is providing for you. I'll pray that He gives you the wisdom to handle what He's given you.

You might want to also ask Him for His plans as to what to do with the gains. (As I'm sure you've noticed, it's not just the Old Covenant's "10% to God and the rest for me." - it might be "Yeah, my bank account has a million and five dollars in it, but God's given me specific instructions for $1,000,004.99 of it." (Well, usually not quite that drastic, but you get the idea))

Oh, and as for not deserving it on your own merit - that's another lesson to be learned here - about God's love, and how he puts his own merit (through Jesus' death and resurrection) in front of his eyes in place of your own. See how God loves you more than you know, and gives you more than you can earn.

We never get what we deserve - that's the beauty of it.

Budget your money well and there's nothing you can't accomplish. Let it all sit around as a lump sum and there is no amount you can't waste.

I’ll pray for you for a week, but you must keep us informed. (D'oh, half over already.)

Hello everyone, update time. ^_^

Kaligraphic, I don't think I get much 'gain' heh but yes, there is a specific amount that has been in my heart throughout this week. While I can't really disclose exactly how I'm managing my finances (hehe) but basically it ups my offerings, cuts down on 'luxury' spending and emphasizes the habit of considering tithe/offerings FIRST upon receiving my paycheck before thinking of anything else.

I know the last one may seem weird but the truth is all this while, I've been considering offerings to God only AFTER I'm done with the apt rent, bills, etc. which is pretty awful, IMO. ^_^;;;;

God is good, I know He's always teaching me something new each day and gently corrects me. Thanks everyone for your prayers! :hug:
