Prayer for All

Postby agasfas » Thu Dec 02, 2004 3:34 pm

Recently I've noticed there was a thread about praying for the admins and mods. So, why not pray for everyone? I know there are many out there who are hurting for one reason or another and find great difficulty talking about it. So in result they don't post a thread for some prayer. Some may feel too scared, embarrassed or guilty to open up. I know there has been a few times where I've felt that way. When I first joined CAA i was a bit cautious, I didn't know if people really wanted to hear my problems. Perhaps they would find me annoying or be upset about someone crying over something not so important in their eyes. LIfe can be tough and sometimes prayer makes all the difference.

I know there are more people out there that are in need of prayer.

I just wanted to let everyone know that tonight, and everynight I will be praying for everyone at CAA in general. Hopefully I will get more people out there to do the same. Thank you for listening.

I often pray for all of my brothers and sisters here at CAA, but God bless you, agasfas, for actually encouraging all of us to do so! :thumb:

Do you guys ever feel weird praying for user names. I find myself saying "Dear Lord please help TheSillyChicken (totally false user name) with his relational problems. Yeah, you know what her real name is Lord. Help her."
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Yeah i do find it weird to pray for a persons username because i dont know their real name.

At least God knows exactly who we mean because He's all knowing. Anyway, I'll definately be preying for the CAA community as a whole. :)

It's great to see there are others out there that feel the same. For some reason I felt that I needed to take initiative to start something like this. From past experience I know how difficult it can be to open up. Plus, besides the CAA staff, I know there are many that are out there in need of some prayer and words of encouragement. I'm not saying the "Pray for the Mods/admids thread" wasn't well intended, because it was. I just felt why not pray for everyone, not just the CAA staff. This way we may be able to make a difference in the community, members and staff alike. Ealier today a certain verse just popped into my head:

Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

For one reason or another I felt I needed to do something to help others. So why not? The more we get to pray the better. I hope there will be more who feel the same and will join the effort. Again, thank you for all of your support, it means a lot.

A noble idea. Thanks for thinking of everyone, and I will do the same.
