heart attack...christmas season...other stuff...

*sigh* It's been some sort of trend in my life for the past few years...the Christmas season always ends up being incurably terrible for me. Just as I was warming up to the idea of actually liking Christmas, my parents decide to get divorced. Just as I think I'm done being inconsolably upset over that, my friend's father has a heart attack....

It upsets me a lot...we live more than several hours apart, and I really want to be there to comfort her right now, because when she's hurting all my problems seem so insignificant.

._. So...please pray for her father's recovery....and please pray that God will help strengthen her when she goes to the hospital to visit him tonight...and please pray that I'll be able to provide her comfort despite our distance and my own personal problems..

Wow -- how long had your parents been married? What suddenly made them decide to divorce, or was it something that had been building for awhile?

I'm very sorry to hear it, and I know it impacts your ability to be there for your friend and her father. I will pray for your family and theirs (and you, of course  ).

Thank-you for the prayer everyone...I really wish I could express my deep gratitude to you all with the words I type, I really do.

Her father is okay - it was a fairly minor heart attack, and I believe they're releasing him from the hospital. I was so releived to hear the good news. Praise the Lord. ^^

Praise the Lord for your friends' father! ^____^ Koko, I will continue to pray for you and your family through this divorce. I know it is very difficult for you right now. Always feel free to pm or IM me, if you like.
