my ankle

Postby Kisa » Wed Oct 27, 2004 2:40 pm

Please pray that my ankle heals fast....
I rolled it in Lacrosse practice a few weeks ago and finally saw the doc, apparently there is some extra bone in my ankle that my ligament pulled too tightly over and it hurts to walk on it certain ways.... I have to wrap it and not do any sports for a week! (hard for me who is always active) Pray that it heals in time for out tournament and that I will be able to keep my sanity while I can't run or anything. ^_^

Ah, that's no fun. I'll pray for it to heal quickly and well.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Ahh man, that stinks. I remember playing basketball and landing on my feet wrong twisting my ankle. I didn't listen to my friends and family and decided to walk on it anyways. It turned purple and all kinds of colors in between. It was hard for me to stay dormant for a while, I have to get out and play sports. That' wasn't cool. So I guess I would take the doctors advice and stay off of it. I pray it feels fast so you can get back out and play some Lacrosse.
