My Dad

We just got back from the hospital an hour ago. My dad has been having chest pain for a long time now and was taking that Viox medicine for his foot- the one they recalled because it was causing heart failure and killing people- for almost a year now, to help his foot, which has a bone spur. He already has the three signs of risk for a heart-attack, and the medication increased the risk by something like 50-70%...which is really scary. He hasn't been eating right or exercising (His job as a sound designer at EA keeps him at his desk almost 24/7 when the game is in crunch mode).
After I went to co-op today (I haven't been home all day, I was at our homeschool group lessons- we meet at a local church once a week, and I volunteered to help clean up the building afterwards etc.) we were driving and realized there was a message on my mom's cellphone, which was off at the time. When we checked it we found out that my dad had called us an hour earlier from work. He said that he called the doctor about his symptoms and they told him to get to the hospital right away. So for the last seven hours we were waiting in the ER to see what would happen.
He's staying overnight, and I just want to ask that you pray for him and everyone else who is there right now. I met alot of the people in the ER while we were waiting and afterwards, we talked like we were old friends. It was an interesting experience, I'll say that much. ^^
I found it easier to pray for and talk to people, and smiling came easy too...which is hard for me. Although I'm a completely different person on the inside, I have trouble talking to people I don't know.
There was a car crash today and I met both of the people involved. I saw the one who supposedly caused the crash, and my initial reaction was to be angry with her because of what happened to the other girl involved, but I couldn't help but feel sorry for her in the condition she was in. I said I'd pray for them, and I'd appreciate it if you did too. :)
God has showed me through this experience how much He loves everyone, and how we should love everyone wholeheartedly regardless of what they have done, because everyone is equal in His eyes.
Thank you everyone, I appreciate your prayers, and the prayers of those who are unseen and who do not make themselves known to me as well.
God knows and He cares for me as well as my dad. So I'll try to have faith that He will take care of him.

I saw this and immediately knew I had to read it.

As you probably don't know (no one reads my bio), my dad died three weeks ago Sunday, when he was hit by a car and instantly killed.

I can tell you from personal experience that a loss like that is extremely devestating, and at your age I sincerely hope that you don't have to go through something like that. I will most certainly be praying for your father.

I've been praying for you, too...God be with you. I will continue to pray.
My grandfather died of a heart attack when my mom was 10 years old...so this has been really hard on her too.
I haven't let it get to that point in my head...alot of times I have thoughts like that when something goes awry.
But today he was released from the hospital and he's been okay so far. He slept all day and he's awake now. They put him on new medication and a diet. I'm hoping he'll follow through so that things don't get any worse.
His family has a history of diabetes, so I'm praying that this is taken seriously and that God would prevent things from getting and worse.

Thank you everyone for praying. I really appreciate it.

Thank God he's home. I'll pray for him, your family, and the other people you mentioned in your prayer request. It sounds like you had a wonderful, blessed experience meetings those people that day.

Father, thank You for the work You have done in the lives of Madeline and her family. I thank You for the blessing she's been to us here at CAA and I pray that she is made aware of the love and hopes that many here have for her. Father, I pray that You continue to be with her and her father. Help him to regain strength and continue the good work You have planned for him at his job and in his family.

Father, I pray You also touch the lives of the two girls in the car accident. Father, because a young woman in the midst of a horribly trying time in her own life was willing to set aside, still had compassion enough available to have pity on them, I pray that You bless their lives for Your servant Madeline's sake.

Amen.
