yah so i my parents and my counsellor tells me that i should be thiking about my future after hs. this subject really frightens me cuz i have know idea, well i only know what i like. i really want to be a karate instructor yet i really want to persue my childhood dream of becoming an artist. i have always luvd art. i started when i was 3 and i taught myself how to draw. i have always really wanted to do karate and i started about two and half years ago. i really luv teaching ppl how to do all these things. i feel i like i can be used there(kaarate). so my dad said he is willing to pay for my edu. but i have to decide on whether art school or karate. that's like me deciding on dr. pepper or wild cherry pepsi. i can't! so he said i better get a job if i want to take both. so i guess pray that God tells me his decision and/or that i get a job. cuz i really want to know more about art. they are both my passion. thanx.

It can be hard to make these kind of decisions, but you don't want to be the kind of person who can never decide. That's probably what you pappy is trying to teach you be offering to only pay for one. At least with your two interests, you can continue to practice one while you persue a career in the other. Maybe you should start going down both paths for a while until on becomes clearer. You have a couple of years to think over, I think.

Although I'm not sure if this will help, when I took karate, my sensei worked a normal day job and then taught karate a few evenings each week. I'm not saying that I would recommend that, but it is possible. I'll pray that God will help you make the decision that will be in His will for your life, a decision that will help you serve Him the most!

God will help you find what you need to be doing. You never know, He might have a ministry for you in which you can pursue both! ^_^
While you're waiting, have faith that God has a plan for you and He will reveal the answer to you when it is time. Keep practicing both!
I struggle with this sometimes too, but all I can do is hone my crafts and wait for the time in which the Lord will call me, when I am older and ready to take on the task. Remember that He can use you right where you are! :)
*hugs*

Keep this verse tucked away in your heart:

"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself." Matthew 6:33 NIV

I love you and God loves you C.t.,girl! :) Take care and God bless.
