I'll pray for you. I'm a female, so I don't get urges like that (I'm sure other females get them though). That must stink. I'd advise not going to those websites anymore.
Heart of Sword's Rhapsody

Money, get away
Get a good job with good pay and you're okay
And all and all you're just another brick in the wall
Shoutin’ in the street gonna take on the world some day
But Bismallah will not let me go
Because I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Tommy used to work on the docks
Union's been on strike
Bright eyes burning like fire
And exposing every weakness
However carefully hidden by the kids

Who will love a little Sparrow
Who's traveled far and cries for rest
Spare him his life from this monstrosity

I've seen a million faces and I've rocked them all
And if the band youre in starts playing different tunes
We will we will rock you
We will we will rock you!

I'd advise that you get rid of the game. I've had some experience there, too. When I was borrowing my friend's Xbox, I used to play DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball. It quickly became one of my favorite games because it was so fun. However, the bathing suits in the game got more and more revealing to the point where I'd get tempted to go on porn sites after a while. It sounds strange, I know, but what helped me the most was when I decided to stop playing it. I does take some courage to do something like that, but you'll feel a lot better. Also, try looking for more alternatives to that game. Something that has the same kind of gameplay, but minus the sexual themes.

I need prayer not in looking at porn, but in my thought life. I got kind of bad at that and I am still not where I should be. (Ok, I've said it.)

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.

I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?" "Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet. You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times." It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach. He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

If I might throw out some ideas:

The first one is openess. What we wont admit to and what we try to conceal seems to be able to come back time and again. When the Bible talks of confessing sins to one another I think it had a point! Obviously this whole thread is along those lines, but, one I thing I can recommend from personal experience is actually being open and honest with a godly person in your life like a parent, pastor, or mentor. Developing a friendship with someone older, a Christian, and mature, is invaluable in life. I know that actually talking face to face with someone is a scary prospect. BUt I'd say pray about who you should talk to, preferably a parent/pastor/elder or someone who has played a mentoring role in your life, and then see about opening up to them.

People in those positions have an authority in our lives, and I believe that our opening up to them (not necessarily all of them!) acknowledges and honours that position and the structure that God has established. They can help keep you accountable. They canpray specifically for you, and help provide wisdom and advice.

Since I started talking with a gentleman who is an elder at our church, and with whom I also live, I've seen much growth - and challenge - in my life.

He has had advice for me and practical ideas. He has provided encouragement and perspective. It hasn't always been easy for either of us. It took a while for us to figure out our roles and how best to communicate. But we were both committed to making it work. We are both able to be honest, not only about various issues, but on the way we feel about communicating. He has been kept up at times praying for me, I've had many times when I didn't feel like it, or it felt hard. But working through those has made us stronger and more mature for it.

This doesn't just apply to pornography but all kinds of issue in life, and I believe it's part of God's plan for us in living out life. In Titus the older men are told to instruct the younger men, and likewise the older and younger women. I don't just think this is a 'good idea'. I think it's vital, and part of truly being the body of Christ.

I'm sure the specifics of your situations are going to be many and varied, but I know that God has the answers for all your situations, and in the choices you'll have to make. It will take some humility, and making yourself vulnerable, and the choice of person to talk to is vital. Nevertheless, I believe this is something that will bless you greatly.

The other thing of course is finding friends who you can talk with, peers who will be build you up, and you them, as you work through life and issue together. Something that I think this forums helps with!

Hope this helps, any questions about anything or my experience, let me know.

God bless,
G.

I've tried to just take out all hentai and porn from my life, but i always seem to find myself going back to it because i end up missing it. One thing im trying right now is to watch hentai still, but watch less of it each week until eventually ii'm not watching any of it at all. I think that is the best way to beat this. This idea is less extreme than just completely taking hentai out of your life imediately, though that is the ultimate goal.

Another idea could be to start watching animes with loads of fan service when you'd normally watch hentai so you wont miss the hentai so much. Sheherezade. That is another problem i have, which i havent found any good way of beating just yet, but ill keep searching and hopefully i can find the answer. I will also pray for you.

I hope this helps.

My girlfriend and I are into it and we've been trying for the longest time to get out, knowing that it's gonna pale our marriage if it stays in our lives (that is if we decide to get married, which I hope because she's the most beautiful Christian girl who I have ever talked to... we are always on the same frequency in the little things like videogames and stuff, and we are definately of the same mind in Christ)...

I even faltered with porn last night ;-;
I think that the lyrics of DreamTheater - The Glass Prision summerize it well... "I can't break out of this prision all alone"

I'll be the first to let you know: that's a very dangerous idea. I tried it once, and it simply didn't work for me. Who knows, it may work for you. I'm just letting you know that sometimes it may seem like it's working, but you may end up falling even harder than before. Still... try it. I'm interested in seeing how it'll work for you. If it does, maybe I'll try it again because I think I might've done it wrong.

Yeah, that's a bad idea. You can't 'wean' yourself off of sinful lusts, you must starve the flesh (As in, quit completely). We should make no provision for the flesh. It kind of sounds to me like that could be what you are trying to do Kura Ookami - trust someone with enough experience with this battle when I say DON'T do it.

Rom 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to [fulfil] the lusts [thereof].

I'm really not amazed (although I am deeply saddened) by the number of very young kids, not even teenagers, that are exposed to and ensnared by this. I guess I'm not surprised because that's about the time when I got ensnared by it as well. The ideas of confessing our sins (in real life, to trusted brothers in Christ) and of asking for the prayers of other believers are two steps that I feel need to be taken to beat this. Aside from that, I can see getting into the word, and getting away from the computer (unless someone else is in the room with you) as helpful things to do.

God gives victory. Don't give up, and don't despair. God always makes a way of escape when we are tempted to sin.

PM me, or IM me, if any of you want to talk further about this. I'll do anything I can to help, and I'll definitely pray for all of you.
Our lives are but a vapor, let us not let waste our time and breath on vanities, but let us spend ourselves for the Kingdom, seeking a better resurrection.

I have to agree with Nightshade X and Saint Kevin. Trying to slowly get yourself off porn is a very dangerous proposition. It allows Satan to have a direct in into your life. The fact the you decrease slowly also means that you are intending to do it again, which is even worse than failing because you were too weak. Again, I recommend finding some sort of prayer that you do as soon as you feel tempted.

I was thinking of this problem being a kind of addiction like smoking and the way to deal with addictions like that is to gradually cut it out of your life, not completely go cold turkey on it straight away. I'm trying to find ways i can hellp out everyone who has this problem that is all.

Everyones support has certainly helped and made me stronger and even though Satan is a strong adversary i believe together we can beat this. Some sort of prayer that can help us stay away from this temptation sounds like a good idea.

This site itself has done a good job in helping me with this as i spend quite alot of my free time here. Free time that might have been spent looking at hentai. It's really tough when the thing you hate becomes the very thing you love.

oh yes... this is an addiction... according to scientists, it forms the same kind/strength of addiction in our minds as crack creates in a crackaddict's mind... so support is crucial.
