Pray for us!!!

Postby GracefulRocker » Sun Dec 07, 2003 12:12 pm

There are those of us who are all "WWJD", "FROG", and "DOG" cross-wearing Christians. However, we all do things that are ungodly and set bad examples for non-believers and Christians alike. This 2-faced image that we create for our selves is steering people away for God. They think, "Wow, *Becky there claims to be God-fearing, I even went to church w/her. Yet at school she curses and drinks and smokes at parties. That must be how all Christians are. I don't want to be a part of that." See the problem? I'm not saying that we all curse, drink or smoke, but we still need to try our best to set better examples.
I don't mean to preach, but we've dirtied the title of Christian.
So please pray for yourself and all of the other Christians out there, 'cause we all sin. I'm praying for all of you.
Thanks.

* is for a hypothetical name. I'm not refering to anyone inparticular. Heck, I don't even know any body named Becky.

Yes, I know I've been gone a while. Forgive me, and if it makes you feel better, blame it on college and chickens.

I have heard this talked about before too--that one thing that drives people away from Christianity is people who try to look very pious in their faith but don't back it up with their lifestyle. Obviously, not one of us is perfect, we will all make mistakes and sometimes even sin intentionally, and yes, we are all sinners. We as Christians know in our hearts that we don't have to be perfect, we are saved through the grace of God, but I do agree that we should try to live by our faith to the greatest degree that we can, and let that faith shine forth for others to see. Of course, that is done through God, not through us. So yes, we need to pray about it, and I will.
