my bf needs prayer

Postby livewire » Thu May 12, 2005 2:21 pm

My poor, poor boyfriend....
He has had a horrible week....

First of all, the other day he was suspended at work because he ran someone's credit without seeing two forms of id....so, he has basically lost his job...which he is in denial about...he REALLY doesn't think they've fired him because they told him they would let him know....and they haven't told him that he lost his job yet.
Then, last night, he picked me up from work. Right after we left the mall, we got pulled over because of his licence plates.
Now, my boyfriend doesn't have his own car...he drives his dad's truck and he was under the impression that his dad had taken care of the registration because HE pays for all the insurance and that was the deal. So, naive as he is, he assumed the new licence plates were just taking a while to arrive.
Well, first of all, his dad had moved the insurance papers out of the glove box and so Steve couldn't find them until AFTER this who incident.
Turns out, his dad hadn't paid up the registration and there were old, expired licence plates underneath the dealership papers from the previous owner of the truck....which he didn't know about. The cops were nice enough NOT to impound the truck OR to give him a ticket, but, they did give him a notice to appear in court...
he is so upset and downtrodden over all of this...he was so angry at his Dad last night....but, anger doesn't solve anything. He needs guidance...

You have my prayers,

Or, more specifically, your BF has my prayers. It's a good thing though that the Cops didn't impound his veichle....those were mighty nice cops. Unusually nice cops in fact....but reassure your BF that things could have been worse, much worse.....very very very worse. And this little court appearence wont do anything as far as his record, in fact I don't even think he'll get a point for this. At the most he'll just have to appear in court and give proof that he did re-new the registration and that the car has the appropreate plates....so re-assure him that this sin't anything too bad, it's at the most only an inconvenience.

His job on the other hand is a whole other matter, but continue to re-assure him to have faith in God and that His will, not your BF's, but God's will is to be done concerning this matter and that it's for your BF's best interest. Perhaps God will move the hearts of your BF's employers, of perhaps theres a better job out there waiting for him....only time will tell. But you both have my prayers.

God Bless,
Archan
