Prayer for my brother

Postby agasfas » Fri Oct 29, 2004 9:16 pm

Where to start.....
Well, first off I have an older brother who seems as though he is lost in life. Ever since he was in 11th grade he has been doing marijuana (pot) and does it regularly/daily. Also, recently he has had a child which is about 5months old now; though he's a cute kid :P. He currently lives under our dad's roof and works as a waiter. Though he makes the money he spends it all and has none left to use to invest in his future (i.e. apartment, car etc.). I'm asking if y'all could put in a prayer for him. Inside I know he's a good kid, he's just a bit off track/lost. I wish that he would kick his habit of drugs; it's a huge waste of money. I just want him to life the life I know he can; happy and fulfilled. I know he believes in God but beyond that he's not really involved in religion. He's 22 and I fear that if he wastes anymore time it'll too difficult to get his life back on track. Please pray, hopefully he can/will become closer to God.
Thank you.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

hey, I really appreciate everyone's prayer support. It really means a lot. I just pray one day he will grow and learn from his experience. I know he's a decent guy inside, he just needs some help. Once again, thanks a lot.
