prayers for my great-uncle

Postby soul alive » Mon Oct 25, 2004 8:56 pm

i would like to ask for prayers for my great-uncle. he is currently very sick, is suffering from great pain caused by cancer. because he has been suffering for a while, and the chemo hasn't been doing anything, he recently asked to be taken off the chemo, and put on pain meds. he asked the doctor if he had enough time to go visit some family, and the doctor said to do so right away .

sadly, this is hitting my family pretty hard, especially since another great-uncle passed away last year after losing a battle with terminal cancer, my own grandfather is living in a nursing home, and a great-aunt is losing her vision. (all of these people are brothers and sisters, from my father's side).

i would like to ask that you pray that my great-uncle's remaining days are happy and free of pain, and that if he doesn't already, that he may come to know the Lord. also that my family may get through this okay. thanks.

I will pray. Loosing a family member can be sad indeed. I pray that your uncle may be able to get through this and feel he has lived a full live. But don't give up hope. Anything is possible. I will also pray that the rest of your family will be able to cope w/ this great pain. Sorry to hear that.
