Something controversial's gonna happen!

I feel so inspired to write somethng in my schools newspaper. I go to an all guys school, and i get poked fun of a lot for being against porn and premarital sex and fornication and stuff. But its fun to be made in fun of (i'm weird) so ill use that to my advantage, and write something in my newspaper. I'm so inspired to write an article on being against fornication and pornography. Of course i'll loose the respect of my peers (like i had any to begin with ) but I am so gonna do this. So, yeah! rock on!

on! and a little prayer for motivation would rock as well!

laters!

Hey man, i know what you mean. I get made fun of all the time b/c i'm against premarital sex and b/c "i'm saving it for marriage." But all you can do is stand strong in your beliefs. Just b/c most people think it's okay doesn't mean it is right. I say go ahead and stand strong, you may even impress some girls ;) .

I think this is more appropriate in the Prayer Forum.

ya, um, you're just a best friend to me but i am impressed that you would do that. it takes a multifarious amount of guts to do that. ha ha ha did i scare anyone letting them know that i am smrt, i mean smert, i mean smart. hehehe. i'm just playin'. i know how to spell, it's just the remembering part that i gotta get down...who are you? hahaha! so yah, i'll pray! maybe you could e-mail me a copy of your artical? i'd like that.

"The advice I like to give young artists, or really anybody who’ll listen to me, is not to wait around for inspiration. Inspiration is for amateurs; the rest of us just show up and get to work. If you wait around for the clouds to part and a bolt of lightning to strike you in the brain, you are not going to make an awful lot of work. All the best ideas come out of the process; they come out of the work itself. Things occur to you. If you’re sitting around trying to dream up a great art idea, you can sit there a long time before anything happens. But if you just get to work, something will occur to you and something else will occur to you and something else that you reject will push you in another direction. Inspiration is absolutely unnecessary and somehow deceptive. You feel like you need this great idea before you can get down to work, and I find that’s almost never the case." - Chuck Close[/color]

Yeah I'm sure we'd all like to see that when you eventually write it. Just stand strong for what you believe. One of the hardest things to do at our age is stand up to peer pressure, the pressure to conform, it's hard but ya need to do it. You'll feel better afterwards and it always beats living a lie. I'll pray God gives you the strength and works through you to reach people.

Make sure you only boast in Jesus's sacrifice, and give that as the reason for choicing your lifestyle, you can use it as a good change to share the gospel (the reason) and not just the consequences (no porn etc).

I'll pray it works out for Gods glory.

Now I know why you posted that thread "Am I girly?"

If you don't mind I'd like to send you an e-mail, it's not something appropriate for CAA at all, It's my uncensored opinion of the world of unchristian males, so I'd like it to be personal, PM me your e-mail If you'd like me to explain.

I went through the exact same thing, just a short bit of advice, don't ever let some airheaded, ignorant, horney, loser tell you there's something wrong with you, you've got morals and style, and in the end their ----'s is gonna be ------- anyway so...

I couldn't agree more. It's so sad how it seems like guys have to be perverse to be accepted by their male peers. I mean, every day I hear hoards of guys at my school discussing......stuff and acting like its the best thing in the world. It makes me constantly ask: What kind of a girl actually likes hearing that crud out of guys?
ugh, it really enrages me at times. Anyways, I'll pray for you Mr. Smartypants. I hope they'll see you for someone who has enough strength to stand for himself. Good luck.
