My Mom

She needs prayer. There are times when she stops breathing for a few seconds at night. She's going to a sleep study on May 2 to try and fix the problem, but I just had to wake her up because of some stuff she was dreaming about. See, we renovated the house some and moved the island cabinents(those that were in the middle between the kitchen and dining room) to the far wall. She said we were going to move them again when we burn the house we're in. That was...disturbing. I'm afraid she might have lung cancer, and I think that could be the cause she's stopped breathing. She has smoked since she was 14, but just recently stopped around a month or so ago. She's 35 now, and will be 36 in November. 21 years of smoking, though...

When I woke her up, she said she was hot, so that could be why she was dreaming that. I don't know, but anyway, please pray for her.

There is something called obstructive sleep apnea which is a far more common cause of this, particularly in people who have odd mouth/throat anatomy, or who are heavier-set.

That doesn't make it any less scary, though -- I hope the sleep study is able to pinpoint a cause. I'll keep you and your mom in prayer.

Thanks, all of you. She said she was awake when she talked about burning down the house, and she did it to make me leave her alone...lol, I was told to see if I could initiate conversation with her next time she started talking in her sleep. Anyway, thanks for being there.
